Access 2010 FAQ

Can I adjust the number of recently opened databases on the Backstage view?

Yes, you can customize the number of recently opened databases in Access 2010. Click the File tab on the Backstage view and then click the Recent tab.

At the bottom of the Recent tab, you'll see a text box that lists the number of recently opened databases Access displays on the Backstage view. You can type in a different number (must be less than or equal to 17) or use the up or down arrow buttons on the right side to increment or decrement the number by one, as shown in the following screenshot.

If you don't want to display any recently opened databases on the Backstage view, clear the Quickly Access This Number Of Recent Databases check box at the bottom of the Recent tab.

Inside Out tip: You can also right-click one of the displayed databases in the list and click Remove From List from the shortcut menu if you want to remove that database file name from your list of recently opened databases.
