Access 2010 FAQ

Why can’t I see the hyperlink, attachment, and calendar picker buttons on my web form in the browser?

On web forms, if you place a hyperlink, date/time, or attachment field on the far-right side of the form, you might not see the picker buttons (Insert Hyperlink, Date Picker, and Insert Attachment) to add or edit that data when you open the web form in Dialog mode in your web browser. In the screenshot below, you can't see the attachment picker button on the right side of the control.

The problem is that if you place those controls to the far-right edge of the form, the picker buttons will either be cut off or not shown at all if the web form is open in Dialog mode. If you need those controls on the far-right side of the web form, make sure to add some extra space (an empty cell works best) to the right of the controls to allow space to see the picker buttons in your web browser.

In the screenshot below, you can now see the attachment picker button after I added an empty column to the right of the controls.

Even though I only demonstrated a hyperlink control in the above example, you'll need to also be aware of this issue when working with the calendar and hyperlink controls.
