Access 2010 FAQ

Why don’t I see any events in the Property Sheet window for my label control?

The answer below applies equally well to both client and web forms.

When you drop a text box control onto a client or web form in Layout view, Access also creates an associated label control for the new text box. Access does not display events in the Property Sheet window if a label is associated with a text box control. To display the two supported events for your web label control, you’ll need to delete the associated label control and then drop in a new label control by itself. Remember that you can also create a new label control in an Empty Cell in Layout view by clicking in the Empty Cell and then typing a caption.
